Amy Smart was an American model and actress. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modelling professional career in Italy. In 1996 she debuted as an actor in the TV film Her Costly Affair. After a very difficult struggle, she landed a role as "Starship Troopers" the film Starship Troopers. It was a difficult transition for Amy as she had change from modeling to performing. Models aren't thought of as great actors and so tend to get smaller, insignificant roles. Yet, somehow Amy refused to give up and transitioned to larger roles, beginning with the series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. The romantic comedy Just Friends, which also had Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform larger roles. Amy achieved the fame she had been searching for for more than 10 years when her film just Friends debuted. There were several major films within the Crank trilogy with Jason Statham. And she also played a recurring role on Shameless. Shameless series.
