Paula Patton is an actress and producer who is best known for her starring roles in the action movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol as well as the dramatic film Precious. Her childhood was lived at Los Angeles where she came from a middle class family. The mother of her children was a film buff, and she instilled an interest in films in her daughter. Paula took part in the co-curricular activities at school, and was a drama enthusiast. Her classmates and she played together and took part in the school productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School staged a variety of plays, and the actor decided that acting was her chosen career. She was part of The University of Southern Calif's summer program, and enjoyed it immensely. She received a 3-month contract to make documentaries on PBS. The first assignment was to be an assistant to production for TV documentaries following her successful completion of the task. Later, she was able to produce documentaries. Although she enjoyed her career but she always dreamed of becoming an actress. She began her journey into acting by playing Will Smith's co-star on romantic comedy Hitch. Since then, she's appeared in a variety of film and TV programs.
